About the Artist

Rod Prazeres

Rod Prazeres is an award-winning astrophotographer from Brisbane, Australia. His work specialises in narrowband deep-sky imaging — using hydrogen-alpha, OIII, and SII filters to reveal structures invisible to the naked eye.

In just two years, Rod went from complete beginner to having his Carina Nebula image exhibited at the Royal Greenwich Observatory in London. His meticulous post-processing in PixInsight and Photoshop brings out the hidden colour and depth of deep space.

When not imaging, Rod shares his journey on social media — the techniques, the equipment, and the stories behind each cosmic photograph. His goal is to inspire others to look up.
